Words that modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs.
An adverb is a word that modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. Adverbs answer questions like "How?", "When?", "Where?", and "How often?".
An adverb is a word that modifies (describes) a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.
Modifying a verb: She speaks quietly.
Modifying an adjective: He is very tall.
Modifying another adverb: She drives extremely carefully.
Many adverbs are formed by adding -ly to an adjective: quick → quickly, careful → carefully.
